Lydia specializes in Integrated Thai Yoga Massage.
She teaches a variety of both private and group classes in integrative yoga therapy, hatha yoga, power yoga, restorative yoga, and yoga for beginners.
Recently after continuing studies in Asia, she now offers thai foot reflexology as well as abdominal detox massage.
Established in 2011.
Thai Yoga with Lydia began as a mobile based business. Lydia worked part time while she was working full time as an apprentice and staff member of the SomaVeda College of Natural Medicine. As the primary teacher in several 200hr Thai Yoga Therapy intensives and her work with Dr. James and her clients, she was able to set a firm foundation for the work she continues with now.
She now mainly works locally in St. Petersburg and on ocassion is found traveling to a client’s home.
As a Thai Yoga Massage Therapist and Instructor (2000+hrs), Natural Therapeutics Specialist, New Mexico Certified Colon Hydrotherapist and Hatha Yoga Teacher, Lydia Smith has spent thousands of hours training in and practicing the healing arts, and incorporates all she has learned into every session.
Lydia’s education in practicing healing arts began in 2007, when she received her certification as an iyengar-inspired Hatha yoga instructor from yandara.com in Todos Santos, Baja, Mexico. She graduated from the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics (nmsnt.org) and practiced massage and bodywork until she was introduced to Thai Yoga in January 2011.
In addition to offering private sessions, Lydia teaches community restorative yoga classes in various locations in the St. Petersburg and Gulfport Area.
