acupuncture, massage therapy (NMT, sports, relaxational), Shiatsu, Reiki, Active-Isolated stretching, and continuing education seminars for nurses and massage therapists
Established in 1988.
My healthcare career started in August of 1988 when I graduated from the Suncoast School of Massage Therapy in Tampa, Fl. (MA9200), and went to work at Aaron Mattes’ rehabilitation center in Sarasota, Fl. Aaron is a noted expert in the Active Isolated stretching method. That led to my teaching career, initially back at the Suncoast school and then in 1996 I started teaching continuing education as an approved provider by the State of Florida and the NCBTMB. In Feb. of 2006, after graduating with a Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine from the East West College of Natural Medicine, in Sarasota, passing the Board Exams, and completing advanced training in Beijing, China, I received my Acupuncture Physician license (AP2231). My medical practice has been in the Tampa Bay area, mostly in St. Petersburg, while I have taught the continuing education seminars throughout the State, and will be expanding to nationwide soon.
I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist for over 25 years. The modalities that I specialize in are: neuromuscular (NMT), deep tissue massage, sports massage, Shiatsu, Reiki, and active-isolated stretching.
In January of 2006, I received advanced training in acupuncture in Beijing, China. In Feb/2006 I received my acupuncture physician license (AP2231) from the State of Florida.. My clinical practice is located mainly in St. Petersburg, Florida, where I usually work with those who are in pain, but there are also some who seek my help to improve their athletic performance and some who are interested in enhancing the quality of their lives.
In addition to my medical practice, I also teach continuing education to nurses and massage therapists.
I enjoy a wide variety of physical activities and sports such as: kickboxing, soccer, Qi Gong, bicycling, yoga, and weight trainging.
